It�s never been easier to get the things you want in life for free, especially given the rise in companies who give their products away for brand exposure.
From movies to books, furniture to food, there are more legally available freebies than ever and often you simply have to know the right places to look online.
So let�s take a look...
Free nights out
Fancy going to see the X Factor for free? Applause Store have free ticket giveaways for many of the big ITV live shows including Saturday Night Takeaway, X Factor, Britain�s Got Talent and Take Me Out. You can also get tickets on there for Big Brother, Got To Dance and loads of others, all for free.
Free furniture
To get free furniture you don�t have to resort to dumpster diving. Many people list their furniture online and allow anyone to collect it for free. For them it often saves them the hassle of having to dispose of it when they get new furniture or move home, whilst you could get a free sofa, table or even white goods like washing machines and fridges.
All you have to do is go and collect them. Great sites for this include Gumtree and Freecycle.
Free books
If you don�t mind reading your books digitally, you should download the Amazon Kindle app for your phone or tablet (or if you have a Kindle even better). The Amazon store has over 100,000 free books, more than you can ever read in a lifetime, including literary classics such as Sherlock Holmes and the Jane Austen novels, along with new emerging authors who just want their work to be seen.
There�s something in every genre you can think of.
Free cinema tickets
Almost all of the major movie labels give away preview tickets to their latest releases, whether that be big blockbusters or independent films. Like the X-Factor tickets, getting these tickets relies on signing up for a list and being the first to pounce on then.
Showfilmfirst is the best website for this, with the best selection of new releases. You can also get tickets for free through SKY or Virgin Media if you are a customer.
Free software
Why spend upward of �100 on Microsoft Office when you can get Open Office for free? It has most of the same features and won�t cost you a penny. Also if you enjoy editing photos and graphic design, GIMP is a great free alternative to Adobe Photoshop, saving you more than �200.
Free music
Spotify used to be a great way to enjoy free music but sadly they now only give you a 30 day free trial, which isn�t quite the same. So instead I recommend joining the VEVO channel on YouTube. They have lots of new music from major record labels and you also get to watch the music videos at the same time.
LastFM and SoundCloud are two other great free music services.
Free ice cream
To end how about some free ice cream? For one day every year Ben and Jerry�s have a Free Cone Day where they give everyone who visits their stores a free scoop of ice cream. What�s not to love?

There are also lots more freebies that are only around for a day or so, so you need to snap them up quick. Two great places to check are HotUKDeals and Money Saving Expert both of which have forums regularly updated with freebies people have found.
